Robert L. Beck

Robert L. Beck, 69, of Mt. Marion, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was a son of the late Robert Beck and Louise Beck-Voigt of Mt. Marion. Bob worked at IBM as a technician from 1964 until his retirement in 1993 at the age of 49. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, camping, golfing and going to the casinos. He was a parishioner of the High Woods Reform Church for many years. Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Tomi Beck of Mt. Marion, whom he married on February 18, 1963, three children, Sabrina Franchini and her husband Richard of Saugerties, Rafe Beck and his wife Jeanne of Mt. Marion, Sean Beck and his partner Suzy Hinchy of Saugerties, six siblings, Bonnie Bryant of Kingston, Lauren Tabler and her husband John of Saugerties, Lois Didonna of Hyde Park, Louise Flynn of Oak Hill, Anthony Beck and his wife Mary of Cairo, Richard Beck and his wife Karen of Saugerties, brother and sister in laws, Elaine Wolf, Donald & Joan Martin, Charles & Judy Brandt, Donald & Vestella Madison, Ethana Bosch, William & Linda Allen, Frank & Rosemary Allen, Ed & Linda Coddington, Larry & Dolores Allen, Steven & Pat Allen, Alan Golgoski & Ann Bonesteel, eight grandchildren, Marin Malgieri and her husband Jerry, Kira & Chase Ward, Delaney, Mason and Connor Beck, Justin Beck and Collin Beck. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his father, Bob was predeceased by a sister, Connie DelMonte, and in laws, Ethan Allen, Robert Allen and Debbie Golgoski. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday at the funeral home at 12:00 noon, with elder Don Lee from the Highwoods Reform Church. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 301 Manchester Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
