Robert J. Young

Hurley - Robert J. Young of Fairway Dr. died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Archcare at Ferncliff. He was 65. He was born in the Bronx, a son of the late Carmela Sauro Young. Mr. Young had been employed as an Underwriter for the New York State Insurance Fund in White Plains. He was a San Francisco Giant fan and enjoyed cooking, horse racing, Civil War history and coin collecting. On May 26, 1977 he married Elaine Liebovitch in Yonkers. Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter Leanne Young of Hurley; his brother Thomas Young and his wife Ann of Swanton, VT and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his beloved dog Remington. Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 - 8 PM. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 AM and process to St. Joseph's Church for a 10:00 AM funeral Mass. Cremation will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
