Robert F. Fiore, Sr., 80, of Hurley, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at his home.
Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Francis J. & Gertrude Smedes Fiore. Bob worked at Hercules for 40 years, before retiring and working for Kelders Grocery Store. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 20, a member of the Kingston Troop 12 Drum & Bugle Corp. He enjoyed reading, camping and collecting stamps.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Fiore of Hurley, whom he married on October 21, 1961, a daughter, Midge Fiore and her partner, Michelle Singleton of Kingston, two sons, Robert F. Fiore, Jr of Hurley and Paul Fiore of Hurley, two brothers, Frank Fiore and his wife Sharon of Hurley and Bruce Fiore and his wife Sandy of Hurley, two grandchildren, Andrew Gilpatric and Alyssa Fiore. Four nephews, two nieces, five great nephews, nine great nieces, two great great nieces, one great great nephew and many cousins also survive.
Bob will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 1-5 PM.
The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Church.
Interment will follow in Hurley Cemetery.
