Robert E. Gallagher

Robert E. Gallagher, 71, of New Salem died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Kingston Hospital. He was born March 20, 1938 in Kingston, to the late Joseph and Pearl (Jones) Gallagher. He was the husband of Ann (Schoonmaker) Gallagher, they wed on December 9, 1956.




Bob was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1955. He had been a salesman for Canfield Supply of Kingston, N & S Supply and Sears. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, reading, watching old movies and spending time with his children and grandchildren.




In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters Cindy L. Damberg and her husband Fred, Purling, NY, Lori A. Smith, Kingston, Colleen M. Palmer and her husband Scott, Eddyville, a son Robert E. Gallagher, II and his wife Ginger, Kingston, grandchildren Kenny and Lisa Smith, Christian and Jennifer Damberg, Bobby and Steven Gallagher, Anthony Reynolds, Michael and Christopher Palmer. Several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Joseph and James Gallagher.




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, Friends may call on Monday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Rev. Charles Stickley, officiating. Burial in St. Remy Cemetery.
