Robert "Uncle Bob" Haran, 72, of Saugerties, NY, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born April 29, 1943 in The Bronx to the late John and Anne (Simpson) Haran.
Uncle Bob served his country in the US Army. He later worked for Verizon in NYC for many years until his retirement.
He previously attended the Cardiac Rehab Program at the YMCA and volunteered for Angel Food East where he delivered food to the home bound.
He enjoyed computers and his beloved cat Casper. Before his illness, Uncle Bob, was never one to sit around, he loved going out to eat and being out in general. He was always willing to help someone in need.
He is survived by his nieces, Anne and Hillary Nauta of Kingston, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Sunday December 20th from 2 to 5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Kingston on Monday December 21st at 11am. A graveside service with Military Honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kingston.
