Rita L. Radel

Rita L. Radel of Schwenksville, PA died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Manatawny Manor, Chester County, PA. She was 94. She was born in Kingston, where she lived for many years before moving to Saugerties NY, then Florida and Pennsylvania. A daughter of the late George and Louise Scherer Collier. She graduated from Kingston High School and eventually worked as a self-employed seamstress. She enjoyed reading and sewing for her family. Her husband Raymond W. Radel and one son Robert J. Radel both died previously. Surviving are one daughter, Betty Fiore and husband Rick of Schwenksville, PA with whom she resided for 8 years; one son Raymond J. Radel and wife Colleen of Hurley; Mavis Radel, wife of her deceased son Robert Radel of Sloatsburgh, NY; 11 grandchildren: Chris and Todd Fiore, and Tara Monseratt of PA, Robin Payne and Jaime Radel of AZ, Jennifer Radel of ME, Maureen Granholm, Catherine Baldwin, Mark, Raymond A. (Randy) and Melissa Radel of NY; 12 great grandchildren, one sister Dorothy Trombley of Coxsackie, one brother George Collier of Kingston; nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Eleanor's Catholic Church in Collegeville, PA on July 17th. A graveside ceremony will be conducted at St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights, at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 23rd.
