Rieke Guercio

Rieke C. Guercio, 70, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born on July 16, 1953, in the country of Suriname, daughter of the late Willem and Elfriede Brybag. Rieke was married to her loving husband of 52 years, Arnold Guercio. Arnold passed away on April 3, 2024. 

She enjoyed fishing and cooking, but most of all, spending time with her family, in recent years, especially her grandchildren. She was like a mother to so many, Rieke would often make meals and take care of her children’s friends as if they were her own.  

She is survived by her children, Jason Guercio, and Lisa (Richard) Miller, her grandchildren, Ashlee, Ricky, and Ethan Miller, and Carter Guercio, her siblings, Errol (Stephanie) Brybag, Lillian (Leslie) Postma, Patricia (Frank) McCann, William (Erika Tempelhoff) Brybag, Ilse (Randy) Ciprich, and Joseph (Samantha) Brybag, and her brother in law, Ronald Vignapiano. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Anneke Vignapiano.  

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Thursday June 13, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday June 14, 2024 at St. Mary's RC Church, 160 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401.
