Richard Thomas Nisa

Richard Thomas Nisa, 62, of Manor Ave., Kingston, died Saturday, August 8, at his residence. He was born January 22, 1947 in Bronx, NY to the late Joseph and Annette (Cirignano) Nisa.




Rich was a graduate of Mt. St. Michael's High School in the Bronx, received his Bachelors degree from Manhattan College, his Masters in Economics from Manhattan and his Masters in Special Education from College of St. Rose's, Albany.
He was a teacher, having worked for the New York City Board of Education for 33 years, his last teaching position being at the Samaritan Village in Ellenville, NY. He retired in 2003.
Richard was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. He loved to golf, follow the Yankees, Giants and the Rangers, and all sports in general. He loved to do crossword puzzles and travel.






He is survived by his daughters Christine M. Nisa, Kingston, NY, Katie Nisa, Los Angeles, CA, son Richard T. Nisa, Brooklyn, NY, beloved companion Joann Descours of Accord, NY and her daughter Sylvie Descours of Houston, TX, a brother Joseph P. Nisa, Chappaqua, NY and nieces Anna Minhua and Helen Scully- Nisa




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where the procession will form on Thursday at 10:15 am and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where at 11am A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9. The service of committal will be held at Wiltwyck Cemetery.




The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
