Richard Short

Richard Short died peacefully in his home Saturday morning, April 29, 2006. He was 52. He was born in Kingston on February 5, 1954 a son of Theresa Styles Short and Otto Short. He was a compassionate and gentle soul, dedicated to his church and his family. Rich brought joy to our hearts through his music and gentle spirit. His family and friends find comfort knowing that he plays his guitar with the angels in heaven for all eternity. He was a graduate of Colorado State University. He is survived by his mother, Theresa Styles Short of Kingston; his father and step-mother Otto and Erika Short of Kingston, their children and grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Short, of Los Angeles, California and Kathleen Meistrich and her husband and their three children of Las Vegas, NV; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Richard was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:00 from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
