Richard J. Schor of Zandhoek Road, Hurley died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Kingston Hospital. He was 66.
He was born in the Bronx on March 6, 1943, a son of Lydia Kidder Schor and the late Edward Schor. Mr. Schor graduated from the Interboro Institute in New York City.
In the late 1950's he moved to Spring Glen and for over 30 years worked in various capacities at the Homowack Lodge, Spring Glen. He married Susan Wendrow on October 28, 1967.
For over 20 years Richard was an account executive for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. He retired in 1995.
In 1970 Richard and Susan moved to Kingston. He worked as Kingston City Marshal and later as an Ulster County Department of Motor Vehicles Court Stenographer.
He was a 30-year member at Wiltwyck Golf Club and participated in league play.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 41 years, Susan Schor, two sons Mitchell Schor of Kingston and Jordan Schor and his wife Monica of Kingston; his granddaughter Sophia Schor; his mother Lydia Schor of Spring Glen, his sister Fern Schor and her husband Robert of Spring Glen.
The funeral will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Shiva will be observed at the residence on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
