Richard Charles Pearson, HURLEY- On August 7, 2017, the world lost a truly beautiful and gentle soul. Richard Charles Pearson, 92, passed away at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush. He was born Dec. 6, 1924 in Kingston, to the late Charles Pearson and Mary (Forde) Pearson. Richard was a Kingston High School graduate; and in 1943 he was employed as a Compositor for The Kingston Daily Freeman, until his retirement. He was married to his loving wife of 65 years, Anne Marie (Roth) Pearson, before her passing in October 2016.

Richard is survived by his children, Douglas (Linda) Pearson of Cohoes, N.Y., and Victoria (Bruce) Woodruff of Granville, N.Y.; he was an extremely loving and proud grandfather to his three granddaughters, Angela Galli, Jillian (Neil) Allen, and Elise Galli; as well as a brand new great granddaughter Claire Anne Allen, brothers Charles Pearson, Robert Pearson; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Sidney Pearson, Justin Pearson and sister Lillie (Pearson) Swanson.

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston. A graveside burial service will take place on Friday, September 8, 2017, at 3 p.m. in Hurley Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org .
