Raymond J. Katchmer

Raymond J. Katchmer, 68, of Kingston, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in West Wyoming, PA, he was the son of the late Peter & Anna Klisch Katchmer. Raymond was a member of the Morgan Hill Gun Club and an avid New York Rangers hockey fan. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Helen Carr Katchmer, whom he married on December 12, 1970, two children, Shannon Gallivan and her husband Joe of Kingston and David S. Katchmer and his wife Melissa of Fairfield, CT, a sister, Anne Jarsen and her husband Ted of Southampton, NJ. One niece and two nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his brother Edward Katchmer. The family will receive friends at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
