Ransom "Bill" Prosser, 70, of Kingston, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at HealthAlliance Hospital Mary's Ave Campus.
Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Robert & Margaret Newberg Prosser. Bill worked for Kingston Cabs for many years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a life member of the Saugerties Fish & Game Club, as well as a patron member of the NRA. Bill was also a member of the Moose Lodge #970 of Port Ewen.
Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cecilia Buckman Prosser of Kingston, a daughter, Laura Wesolowski and her husband Paul of Kingston, a son, Walter Prosser and his wife Tonia of Rosendale, a sister, Mary Pacut of Kingston and two grandchildren, Miranda and Zachary. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, Robert Prosser
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9.
The funeral procession will form on Thursday from the funeral home at 8:45 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church.
Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
