Rachel Miller

Rachel A. Miller, 86, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born December 24, 1936 in Kingston, NY. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, and soap operas.

Rachel is survived by her daughters, Diane (Joseph) Bush and MaryAnne Neubauer, her granddaughter, Rachele (Robert) Crane, and her great granddaughter, Katelyn Herdman, to which she adored. She also leaves behind her sisters, Etta (Dolly) Sickler and Sandra Litts as well many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Edward.

She is predeceased by her step parents, Etta and Joseph Holstein, her parents, Lena and Stanley Newkirk, her step father, Luke Clearwater, her husband, Charles F. Miller, her daughters, Mary Miller and Linda A. Miller, her grandson, Charles F. Bush and her brothers, John Newkirk, Ronald Newkirk and Stanley Newkirk.

Rachel’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab, Hudson Valley Hospice, and staff at Vassar Brothers Hospital for the excellent care they had given Rachel and the comfort and caring they gave her family.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 3pm to 6pm, followed by the funeral service at 6pm. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Kingston.
