Peyton Williams, Jr.

Peyton R. Williams, Jr, 92, of Kingston, passed away on July 24, 2024, at TenBroeck Commons in Lake Katrine, NY. He was born August 28, 1931, in New York, NY to the late Peyton R. and Alene Mae (Johnson) Williams, Sr.. He was the husband of Leandra Smith; they were married on September 30, 2000 in Kingston.

Peyton served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1952 achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. For many years he worked as a Senior Engineer for IBM Kingston, NY, he retired in 1992.

In addition to his wife Leandra, Peyton is survived by his brother; Anthony Williams of Oakland, CA his daughters: Donna Williams of Brooklyn and Pieta Williams of Woodstock, his stepdaughter, Gaynell (Mark) Grimes of Kingston, his granddaughter, Ella Mae Williams, step grandchildren: Marques (Maranda) Grimes and Morayia Davis and three great-grandchildren Adryanna, Aryella and Aniyah.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Charlotte Mae Coleman, his brother Mark Williams, his stepmother Doris E. Williams, and his great-grandson Jacobie Grimes.

 Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 4pm to 6pm.
