Peter R. Woodworth

Peter R. Woodworth of Lori Lane, Rome passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford, NY after a lengthy illness. He was 55. Peter was born in Kingston on June 3, 1953 and resided there until his move to Rome in 2003. He was the son of Anneliese Woodworth and the late George L. Woodworth, Sr. While living in Knigston he was employed as a media clerk at I.B.M. and later as General Manager at Resnicks. After relocating to Rome, he continued his employment with Resnicks and also worked at the local chapter of the Humane Society. Peter was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, NASCAR fan, bowler, dart player and chef. A talented musician, he often worked as a professional drummer. Survivors include his beloved daughter, Daramay "Dara" Woodworth of Rome, his mother, Anneliese Woodworth of Kingston, one brother George "Lemmie" Woodworth, Jr. of Kingston, four sisters Evelin Beesmer of Kingston, Ann Beesmer of Cottekill, Sylvia Donaldson of Kingston and Susan Myers of Kingston, many nieces and nephews. His much-loved aunt and uncle, Isabelle and Claude Kelderhouse of Kingston died previously. There will be a gathering of family and friends conducted Saturday, June 13th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. At 4:30 a funeral service will be conducted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413.
