Peter J. Fabbie

Peter J. Fabbie of of Griffin Dr., Hurley died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Kingston Hospital. He was 94. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Anthony and Christina Fiore Fabbie. A Kingston High School graduate, he later attended Moran's Business School. Peter served in the US Army during WW II. For many years he was employed by the NY State Thruway Authroity as a toll supervisor for 27 years. Peter was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Fineo Fabbie who died Sept. 19, 1999; loving father of Edmond Fabbie and his wife Karina of Mahopac and Ingrid Sill and her husband Christopher of Hurley; grandfather of Alexander Sill, Cassian and Max Fabbie; Cathy and Ed Schirick; step grandfather of Scott, Michael and Elizabeth Schirick; brother of Theresa Landi of Kingston, Frances Polacatro of Sarasota, FL, Josephine Lostumbo of Phoenix, AZ, Susan Mackey of Kingston, Anthony Fabbie of Kingston and the late Mary Amendola, Margaret Papillo, Thomas, Frank and Joseph Fabbie. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral procession will form on Saturday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment, with military honors by Joyce-Schirick Post #1386, will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
