Pauline (Smodish) Picklo, 96, of Esopus, NY, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital. She was born April 22, 1912 in New York City, to the late Michael and Angela (Svetich) Smodish. Wife of the late Frank J. Picklo who died on June 4, 1995.
Pauline was a communicant of Scared Heart RC Church, Esopus. With her husband Frank, they had owned and operated Frank's Steak House in Esopus. They opened the restaurant in the mid forties and operated until their retirement in 1995.
She is survived by her sister, Elsie Staicer of Kingston, NY; many nieces, nephews grand nieces and grand nephews. Predeceased by her sisters, Josephine Healey and Anne Fritz.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, where the procession will form on Wednesday at 10:15 am and proceed to Sacred Heart R.C. Church where at 11:00 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Eugene Grohe.
Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 .
