Pauline Sickler

Pauline S. Sickler, 95, of Kingston, NY, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on January 22, 1928 in New York City, daughter of the late Fred Zigrest and Hazel Bunten. She was a graduate of Yorkville High School, Manhattan, NY. She worked for Hercules in Port Ewen, NY, for many years. Pauline was voted Senior Citizen of the Year and volunteered with a lot of different organizations; she was always willing to give her time.

Pauline is survived by her children, Linda Bruck of Kingston, Alvin Clark and his wife Joann of Bethpage, NY, Paul Connelly and his wife Kate of Kingston, William Connelly and his wife Beverly of Carolina, Barbara Marcello and her husband Michael of Wappingers Fall, NY, Kay Tresaloni and her partner John Martino of Kingston, her half sisters, Helen Johnson and Sherrie Canatta, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husbands, Norman Platzner and Robert Sickler, her daughter, Gail M. Bennett, and her brothers, Fred Zigrest, Jr., Robert Zigrest, and Kenneth Zigrest.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Hill Unit C1 for all the love and care they provided to Pauline.
