Pauline Shashak

Pauline T. Shashak, 92, of Lake Katrine, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Ten Broeck Commons. Born in Ashville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas E. & Minnie T. Caldwell Davis. She worked for Prudential Insurance Company for many years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family. Pauline was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will never be forgotten. Pauline is survived by her two daughters, Diana Delaney and her husband Bart of Clifton, NJ and Kathleen Sielgowski and her husband Anthony Liardo of Kingston, four grandchildren, Barry Delaney, John, Catherine & Stella Sielgowski. Three great grandchildren, Chloe, Dominic, Elijah and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Michael Shashak, a sister, Virginia Higgins and a brother, Elly T. Davis. Pauline will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Monday from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM. . A funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. David Jolly from St. James United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Montrepose Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2 Little Jefferson St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
