Paul T. Chmura, 94, of Kingston, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a son of the late Stephen & Anna Raytek Chmura. Paul was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps having served during WWII. He worked for Central Hudson in Kingston as an electrician for 38 years. He was a member of the Central Hudson Quarter Century Club, an active with the Lions Club where he was past president and a volunteer with Kingston Hospital for 14 years. Paul enjoyed golf, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his wife of 70 years, Amelia Turck Chmura of Kingston, a son in law, Bruce Nichols of Kingston, two grandchildren, Michelle Helmbold and Steven Nichols, one great grandson, Noah, four sisters, Agnes McCloskey of Demarest, NJ, Frances Kent of New Haven, CT, Mary Donohue of St. Simon, GA and Barbara Elliott of Cape Cod, MA. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Paul was predeceased by a son, Paul Steven Chmura, two daughters, Kathleen Chmura and Robin Nichols, six siblings, John Chmura, Albert Chmura, Josephine Morris, Elizabeth Funcheon, Irene Nichols and Stephen Chmura.
Funeral Service and interment will be private.
