Paul E Smith

Paul E. Smith of Kingston, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Ten Broeck Commons. Born in Kingston, he was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening where he was fond of growing tomatoes. Paul is survived by two grandchildren, Erick Paul Scutt of Catskill and Jillmarie Scutt of Kingston, a son in law, Ray Scutt of Port Ewen. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his wife Mary Clausi Smith, a daughter, Rita Scutt who passed in 2013 and several brothers and sisters. Paul will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Saturday at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Colman's Church. Interment, with military honors by Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 Color Guard, will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
