Paul ''Bob'' R. Murray of Kingston, NY, passed away on May 3, 2018. He was born July 10, 1945 in Kingston, to the late Walter and Lula (Jameson) Murray. Bob was married to Jean (Whitaker) Murray on September 3, 1970.
He graduated from Kingston High School in 1963. After high school, Bob served in the US Navy from 1963 to 1968 where he obtained the rank of Second Class Petty Officer, received the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, National Defense Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He later worked as a welder for numerous locations in the Ulster County including Hudson Cement, Feeney's, and Callanan's, retiring from the Ulster County Infirmary in 2002.
Bob was active in the community as a member of the Joyce Schirick Post #1386 VFW and and former member of the American Legion Post #150 in Kingston. He loved to travel, camp, and above all, spend time with his family
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Paul R. Murray, II, Melinda (Thomas) Kimble, and MaryAlice Murray-Mulstay, his sisters, Elizabeth Rinaldo, and Colleen Keane, his granddaughters, Amber Kimble, Molly (Kyle) Tokle, and McKinley Mulstay, his grandsons, Shane Mulstay II, and Connor Mulstay, his great-grandchildren, Otto Tokle and Bella Roots, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph Murray, Alice McCord, Rose Rutledge, Walter Murray, John Murray, Donald Murray, and Donna Rougier.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401 where family and friends may visit on Sunday May, 6 2018 from 3pm to 6pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday May 7, 2018 at 11am. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Lloyd.
