Patricia V. Jewett died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at home. She was 79. She was born in Rochester, NY the daughter of the late Clifford and Jane Brown VanDervort. A homemaker, she received her Associates Degree from Cazenovia College. An avid reader, she was loyal patron of the Hurley Library and spent much of her time in her gardens. Surviving are two sons, Clifford Jewett and his wife Mary Lou and their son Tyler of Stone Ridge; Laurence Jewett and his wife Margaret and their sons Jamieson and Julian Kerrey of Manassas, VA; her brother Randolph VanDervort and her beloved feline companion Jackson. Entrusted to the care of Paul Geary of A. Carr and Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Friday from 4 - 6 PM. Cremation was private.
