Patricia Schreiber

Patricia Schreiber, 91, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab Center in Kingston. She was born on March 17, 1933, daughter of the late William and Margaret (Daley) Baumer. Originally born in Walden, NY, she Graduated from Kingston High School in 1951. She attended SUNY New Paltz where she met and married her beloved and devoted husband, William John Schreiber that same year. William passed away on March 12, 2019.

Patricia was a New York State Licensed Beautician, operating a business for many years out of her residence. She was an ardent member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Aside from teaching Sunday School, and serving as first woman President of the Church Council, she also chaired many Church Committees. She also was a member of WELCA where she served as President and Treasurer. She was a member of the YWCA where she served many positions and she also volunteered at Kingston Visitors Center on the Rondout waterfront for many years. When she wasn’t traveling, Patricia enjoyed swimming, entertaining, cooking, and knitting. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Frank) Bondarenka, her grandsons, Jason (Carolyn) Bondarenka, David (Lisa) Bondarenka, and Taylor Smith, her great grandchildren, William, Henry, and Hanna Bondarenka, her niece, Beth (Bruce) Kraemer, her nephews, Darryl (Florence) Baumer, and Matthew (Heather) Baumer, as well as several other nieces, nephews, and dear family members. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Smith and her brother, Robert Baumer.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. The funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday September 24, 2024 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 104 Wurts Street, Kingston, NY 12401. Entombment will follow in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church.
