Patricia Jane Addesso

Patricia Jane Addesso of Town of Ulster died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Kingston Hospital. She was 75. She was born in Tannersville, a daughter of the late Seward and Ruth Kipp Bartley. Ms. Addesso attended SUNY Fredonia and received her Bachelors Degree from SUNY New Paltz in Education. For 34 years she taught 1st Grade at Meagher Elementary School, Kingston. She was awarded "Teacher of the Year." Ms. Addesso was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, Kingston and served as Deacon, Elder and Sunday School Teacher. A current Board Member of the Mental Health Association in Ulster County, she founded the "Wits End" group. One son Michael J. Addesso died in 1999. Surviving are two daughters Christine Addesso of Haines Falls and Kimberly Addesso of Kingston; her former husband Joseph Addesso of Town of Ulster; one sister Sondra Hull of Ithaca, one brother Seward K. Bartley of Portland, OR; three grandchildren Patrick, Daniel and Giovanina; two great grandchildren Ian and Brayden; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at the First Presbyterian Church, 80 Elmendorf Street Kingston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2nd.
