Kingston - Odell G. Reynolds of Gulf Terrace died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. He was 87. He was born in Halcott Center, a son of the late Garfield and Claretta Griffin Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds served in the army during Korea and was a member of the Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 VFW. He worked in construction for many years and was foreman during the construction of the Belleayre Ski Center. He also worked for Slavin Construction in Fleischmanns. For a brief time, he worked as a deputy sheriff for Greene County. He retired after twenty years of service a driver for Pinehill Trailways. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and had been a pilot, flying Piper Cubs. Surviving is his wife, Julianne Icart Reynolds. Also surviving are three sons, Robert Reynolds of Jacksonville, FL; Gary Reynolds and his wife Cindy of Oneonta; Dan Aley of Saugerties. Three granddaughters, Phyllicia Reynolds, Melissa Reynolds and Kelley Bennett and four grandsons, Garrett Reynolds, Brady Aley, Mason Aley and Danny Aley also survive. A brother, Ward Reynolds and a sister, Dorothy Bush died previously. Entrusted to the care of A. Carr and Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 PM. Private cremation will be in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
