Norma Winnie, 84, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her home.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late William & Gladys Wolferstieg Hornbeck. Norma was a devout Protestant and a lifelong member of the Reformed Church of the Comforter where she was also a past treasurer. She enjoyed gardening and camping, but most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. Norma is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Griffin and her fianc, Gary Trudeau of Fenton, MI and Denise Maccaline and her husband Paul of Kingston, three grandchildren, Kendra Maccaline, Ryan Griffin and Erin Griffin. One great grandson, Logan Michael Garrard and three nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Winnie, whom she married on August 30, 1952 and who passed in 2010, a sister, Linda L. Bruck and a brother, William R. Hornbeck. Norma will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM 11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. David Brechter officiating.
Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
