Norma Mae Wendell formerly of Hurley, NY died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at St. John's Home in Rochester. She was 90. She was born in Binghampton on May 31, 1915, a daughter of the late Walter Francis and Fannie Wiley Hennessey. Mrs. Wendell was raised on Euclid Ave., Binghampton. Mrs. Wendell then lived in Vestal, NY and from 1955 - 1996 she resided on Old Route 209 in Hurley, NY. For 15 years she was a secretary for Federal Venetian Blind, Kingston, NY. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Kingston. Her husband Chester 'Chet' Wendell died March 29, 1970. One sister Virginia Udelhofen died previously. Surviving are her daughter Carolyn Wendell and her husband Jon Harding of Rochester, her son Edward Wendell and his wife Judy of Princeton, many nieces and nephews. One brother Walter Hennessey died previously. Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue on Friday morning from 9:00 AM. At 10:30 we will process to St. Joseph's Church for an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will be in Hurley Cemetery.
