Nola Maria Luce of Mountain Road, Shokan died Monday, September 18, 2006 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 53.
Born in Guam on February 2, 1953, Nola was a daughter of the late Milson and Felicidad Luce. She immigrated to this country when she was 23 and settled in New York City.
For many years she was an office manager at Jessica Dee Communication and then Patrice Tanaka Associates, New York City. She retired in 1995.
She married Robert G. Tischler in 1992. A Shokan resident since 1995, Nola belonged to the Woodstock Jewish Congregation.
Surviving are her husband Robert G. Tischler, his daughter Cathy Goodman and her husband Michael of Roslyn Heights, and their children Samantha and Alex Goodman; Robert's son, John Tischler and his wife Lisa and their children Emma, Golde and Lucas Tischler; her sisters Myra Graham of Pleasanton, CA, Wanda Sturt of Virginia Beach, VA, Julie Holwitz of San Diego, CA, Debra Oberheim of Hawaii, Janet Calvo of Guam and Joyce Counts of West Virginia; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved 'Gus.'
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 12:00 at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, Rabbi Jonathan Kligler will officiate.
