Naomi Davis formerly a resident of Thelma Van Demark Family Care and Scardefield House on Wall St. in Kingston died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck. She was 78.
She was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Mary Davis.
For many years, she served as a teaching assistant at ARC's Brookside School. She loved traveling, especially cruises and doing many kinds of needle work. She was a former participant of the Ulster County Mental Health RAH Program. She had been an active member of St. Mark's AME Church.
She is survived by many dear friends at Brookside School, Scardefield House and her dear friend Thelma Van Demark with whom she resided for many years.
Friends will be received at the St. Mark's AME Church, 72 Wurts St., Kingston on Thursday from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at which time funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Faye B. Taylor. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
