Nancy Schuerzinger

Nancy (Deyo) Schuerzinger, 72, of Sawkill, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. She was married to her loving husband of over 50 years, Karl Schuerzinger.


Nancy worked for Kingston City Schools. She was previously a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a former member of the Sawkill Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph's RC Church in Kingston.


She loved children, animals, the outdoors, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, tent camping, and traveling. Her favorite trips were to visit her grandkids, to Ireland (home of her ancestors), and to Hudson Bay in Canada to see the Polar Bears and Beluga Whales.


In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Karla (Kurt) Walter, John (Tanya) Schuerzinger, Stefanie (Joseph) Gentile, and J. Theodore Schuerzinger, her grandchildren, Andrew & Nicole Walter, Jacqueline & Katherine Gentile, her siblings, Richard I. Deyo and Lois Maccaline. She is predeceased by her brothers, Carlton L. Deyo and Ronald Deyo.


Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Sunday March 22nd from 2pm to 5pm. The funeral procession will form on Monday March 23rd at 9am and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston where at 10am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, Sawkill.
