Murray E. Flender

Town of Hurley- Murray E. Flender of Lucas Ave. Ext. died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at home. He was 92. He was born November 4, 1911 in the Bronx, a son of the late Abraham and Emma Flender. He was an army veteran of WW II and a member of Jewish War Veterans #312, West Hempstead. Prior to his retirement, he was a furrier in New York City. He had been a part-time resident of the area for many years and a permanent resident for the past 15 years. Surviving is his wife, Mildred Goldman Flender and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Stanley Flender and a sister, Eleanor Rifkin died previously. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. Cantor Robert Cohen will officiate. Burial will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
