Muriel Lynn Roth of Bowne Street, Port Ewen, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Westchester Medical Center. She was 50.
She was born in Kingston on January 5, 1959 a daughter of the late Frank and Muriel Castillo Terwilliger. A graduate of Kingston High School, class of '77.
Former of the Town of Ulster, Muriel has lived in Port Ewen for the past 6 years. She was a Customer Service Representative at the Hudson Valley Mall for the past 2 years. Muriel previously worked at the family business: Cider Barrel (formerly in the Town of Ulster), and later at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, MHVFCU, and Fleet/Bank of America Tax Services in Town of Ulster for several years.
She married Daniel A. Roth on April 16, 1988 in Kingston, NY.
Muriel was a very loving person, and had many friends. She enjoyed stock car racing in Accord and playing BINGO at St. Josephs Church. Muriel also enjoyed playing cards and other games with friends and family. She enjoyed attending many of her husband's sporting events, and was the team's biggest fan.
Muriel was a member of St. Peter's Church as well as River of Life International. Many hearts were broken when Muriel lost her battle with cancer and left us for an eternal life with God.
Surviving are her husband Daniel A. Roth, two sisters Jill Vankleek and her husband Cliff of Hudson Falls, NY and Gayle Terwilliger and her husband Dominic of Saugerties, NY; one uncle, Floyd Terwilliger of West Hurley, NY; her In-laws Louise & Ray Weber, Minden City, MI, Julie and Jim Schwartz, Lakewood, CO, Rhonda and Gary Lang, Littleton, CO, Les and Margo Roth, Bad Axe, MI, Jim and Vicki Roth, Bad Axe, MI, Phil and Ellen Roth, Bad Axe, MI, Elizabeth and Barry Segal, Denver, CO, Joe and Carol Roth, Minden City, MI, Marty and Adrienne Roth, Greeley, CO, Chris Roth, Denver, CO, Greg Roth, Denver, CO and John Roth, Port Sanilac, MI; many nieces and nephews in NY, CO, and MI and her beloved Missy.
Reposing at the Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday from 2:00 6:00 p.m. A wake service will be conducted by Fr. Mark Oliver at 2:30 p.m.
Reposing at the Smigielski Funeral Home, 8545 Cass St., Minden City, MI on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church in Palms, MI. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ruth, Michigan.
