Muriel K. Phelps

Muriel K. Phelps, 88, of Alcazar Avenue, Kingston, NY, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at Kingston Hospital, Kingston, NY. She was born October 2, 1919 in Wales, England, to the late Karl and Florence M. Fosse. She was married to the late Lawrence L. Phelps who died January 11, 1986.

She had worked at Hudson River Psychiatric Center and Kingston Hospital as a nurse, and had been house manager for a group home on Clinton Ave. She had also worked at Big Scot's, Woolworth's, and Wallace's Department Store. Muriel was a member of New Life Assembly Of God, she enjoyed cross stitch, knitting, and gardening. She had enjoyed making pottery, had been involved with Uptown Senior Citizens

She is survived by sons, Ronald L. Phelps, Kingston, NY, George C. Phelps, Kingston, NY, Several grandchildren, great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter, Eunice Phelps, sister, Florence Eveleigh.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am services will be led by Rev. Troy Allen. Burial in Montrepose Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 19 from 2- 4 & 7 - 9 .
