Miriam Brown

Miriam Brown, 98, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at The Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Abraham & Esther Rabinowitz Cohen. Miriam enjoyed cooking, crocheting and gardening, Her African violets were her prized possession. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter, Toby J. Heyman of Little Falls, NJ, a sister, Goldie Kushner of Ellenville , a grandson, Jonathan Heyman of FT. Washington, MD, two nieces, Arlene Levine and her husband Harvey and Diane Gutman of Ellenville. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Congregation Agudas Achim, 254 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401.
