Mildred "Millie" Marks died peacefully on October 28, 2019 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home. She was born on September 12, 1919 in Kingston, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Katharine Snyder Davis. She was the widow of Edward W. Marks who passed away on May 2,1996.
Mildred was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1936 and New Paltz Normal School in 1939. She was employed by Adirondack Trailways for over fifty years.
Mildred was a member of The Flatbush Reformed Church of Saugerties for 87 years and served faithfully as a Deacon, Elder, Consistory Clerk, a member of the Ladies Guild and a Sunday School Teacher. She was the substitute organist and the oldest member at 100 years at the time of her passing. She was also a member of the Senior Bowling League, loved animals and enjoyed taking trips with her Senior group friends.
Mildred is survived by her son Robert E. Marks and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Stephen A. Marks, a brother, C. Merton Davis and a sister, Elizabeth Davis Griswold.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, N.Y. A memorial service for Mildred will be held in the Spring.
