Michael J. "Mickey" Watzka of Flatbush Rd., Town of Ulster died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Benedictine Hospital. He was 52. He was born in Kingston, a son of John A. "Jack" and Edna Hutter Watzka. He graduated from Kingston High School, Class of 1975. Mickey had been employed at IBM, Kingston, Tilcon Industries and Ulster County Buildings and Grounds. He was a Harley enthusiast, a Yankee and Celtics fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Surviving in addition to his parents of Town of Ulster, are two brothers, Ed and his wife Denise of Port Ewen and John and his wife, Carol of Hyde Park; nieces and nephews, Robin and Matthew Watzka, Jason Watzka and Gina Watzka and her husband Michael Armato. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Wednesday from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. A funeral procession will form on Thursday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home and process to St. Colman's Church for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 39105-1942 or the American Cancer Society, 95 Schwenk Dr., Kingston, NY 12401.
