Michael T. Appa of Hasbrouck Ave. died Monday, August 11, 2014 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. He was 88. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Samuel and Fanny Bruno Appa. He served in the army during WW II. He had been a member of Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 VFW. Mr. Appa owned and operated Appa's Service Center in Kingston for many years. His wife Joan O'Neil Appa died previously. Surviving are two daughters, Fannie Appa-Bauer and her husband Christopher; Annmarie Appa; one brother, Ralph Appa and his wife Joan; two grandsons, Thomas Appa Jr. and his companion Marcy Prout and Zachary Tyler and a sister-in-law, Gail Appa; his step-grandaughter Nicole Marie Bauer-Paul and her husband Freeston and step-great-grandson Davonte Cassius Paul. His beloved dog Chico also survives. Two sons, Thomas and Frank Appa and a brother Samuel Appa died previously. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston.
