Michael Sanchez

Michael Thomas Sanchez (age 70) passed in his sleep in the early morning hours of Tuesday February 18th, of course, on his own terms. The long-time Rhinebeck resident was born on October 18th 1954 in the Bronx, NY.

He is survived by the love of his life, and wife of 50 years, Barbara Sanchez and his cherished daughters Frances Netzel (husband Paul) and Natalie Sanchez (fiancée Sean). Additionally, he is survived by the siblings he adored and who adored him in kind; Barbara Orcutt (husband John), Melissa Pelkowski (husband Dave) and he is predeceased by his brother Steve (wife Kathy). He leaves behind many other friends and family including his fur babies; Buckwheat, Buster, Louie, Whiskers and the late Camile.

To know Michael was to smile and laugh with him. He was funnier than Jerry Seinfeld, more badass than Tony Soprano and cooler than the Beatles. The good vibes he radiated created endless memories that his friends and family will share for years to come.

Michael will be celebrated Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12-4pm in his home.
