Michael P. Wood, of Binnewater Road, Rosendale died Monday, May 8, 2006 at his home. He was 64.
Michael was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 30, 1941, a son of the late Paul Joseph and Barbara Silvey Wood Duffy.
Formerly of Merrick and Center Moriches, Long Island, Michael was an electrical contractor and was the proprietor of JJ Flash Electric. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, Local #25.
An area resident since 1969, he received a Bachelor of Science from SUNY New Paltz. Michael served as treasurer to the Hudson Valley Personal Computing Club, a volunteer for Family of Woodstock and was active in the Rosendale Democratic Party, A.A., and the Moto Guzzi National Owners Club.
One brother, Lee Wood died previously.
Surviving are his wife, Eileen Hall, his son Bryan Hall-Wood of Rosendale, two sisters Juanita Duffy and her husband Martin Feinberg of Merritt, NC and Coleen DisSanti and her husband Joseph, of Shirley, NY; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial, in celebration of Michael's life, will be conducted at Williams Lake Hotel on June 10, 2006 at 1:00 pm.
