Michael Miranda

Michael Miranda, 76, of Shandaken, NY passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024. Born and raised in Buffalo, Mike graduated from SUNY Buffalo in 1969. Mike was drafted by the US Army and served in Vietnam from 1969-1970. Mike went to and graduated Brooklyn Law School in 1974.

He practiced law in NYC until 1978 after which he moved upstate and started a family. Mike took a job with the DA’s Office, he was always fond of working in the DA’s Office the most pleasurable part of his being an attorney. Mike ran for Town Judge in Shandaken and held the position from 2005 until his passing. When Mike wasn’t in a court room his favorite pastime was golf. He enjoyed being a member of Twaalfskill for over 25 years. 

He is survived by his wife Patti (Hill) Miranda whom he married in July of 2010. His brother, Vincent of Buffalo, his oldest daughter, Katie Miranda and her husband Philip Chan, youngest daughter, Margot Miranda and her fiance Ryan Gutz and granddaughter, Adeline Miranda Gutz. 

He is predeceased by his parents, a sister Rose, a sister-in-law, Eileen Miranda and his beloved companion, his dog Max. 

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm.
