Michael L. Olsen

Michael L. Olsen of Ditmars Blvd., East Elmhurst died Sunday, September 19, 2010. He was 50. He was born in Peoria, IL the son of Richard and Jacqueline Brewer Olsen of the Town of Ulster. Mr. Olsen received a bachelor's degree from Fredonia and a master's from Simmons College. He also attended the Boston Conservatory of Music. He was a research librarian for the consulting firm NERA in White Plains. He enjoyed reading and music, especially piano. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Eileen Maguire Olsen and his daughter, Ceara, both of East Elmhurst, a brother, William Olsen and his wife Shirley of the Town of Ulster, a sister Elizabeth Ketudat of Boston, MA. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Annmarie Maguire, his godson and nephew, Eoghan Rafter of Ireland; nieces, Naree Ketudat, Kari Olsen, Emma, Aisling and nephew Brendan Maguire. Also survived by other family members in Ireland. Reposing at the Keyser Funeral Home, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston on Wednesday from 4 - 8 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, 12:00 PM at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 30 Pine Grove Ave., Kingston.
