Michael D. Finley, 40, of Rifton, NY, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at The Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. He was born January 18, 1971 in Kingston, NY to the late Alfred Finley Jr. and Joyce (Kallert) Finley.
He was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1990.
Michael then served his country in United States Army until his honorable discharge.
He worked as a Taxi Driver for Kingston Kabs for many years.
Michael was a member of Excelsior Hose, A. H. Wicks Engine and Truck Company, Rifton Fire Company and the Town of Esopus Volunteer Ambulance Squad. He was an avid NASCAR, Yankee and Jets fan. He also enjoyed reading. He can best be remembered as a friendly face with many close friends, he adored his nephews, niece and family. The guardian of the family, Mike was always willing to be there through it all.
Michael is survived by his siblings Diane Kearney of Kingston, NY, Janet Nestell and her husband Charles of Kingston, NY, Donna Kearney of Kingston, NY and Patrick Finley of Kingston, NY, nephews, Matthew Kearney of Kingston, Bryan Nestell of Kingston and Travis Gorham of Kingston, and a niece, Jessica Nestell of North Adams, MA.

A memorial service will be held at The Salvation Army Church, 35 Cedar Street, Kingston, NY 12401, on Saturday May 7th at 11am.
