Maureen Ryan Fellows, 61, of Ferncliff Drive, Rhinebeck, passed peacefully, Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, after a lengthy battle with MS complications. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Maureen was born November 13, 1954 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Ernest J and Jeanne DuBois Ryan.
Maureen, along with her triplet sisters Michelle of Port Ewen and Minna Ryan of Schnectady, were very active in bringing awareness and improving services for those with disabilities, especially Cerebral Palsy. When they were children, they annually participated in the Albany area telethon's as well as many other activities.
For 35 years Maureen worked for Gateway Industries. She was lifelong member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Maureen enjoyed athletics and participating in Special Olympics, bowling, knitting, making hooked rugs, and therapeutic coloring.
In addition to her sisters Michelle and Minna, she is survived by her husband, Richard Fellows of Lake Katrine, her brother Stephen M. Ryan, Ulster Park. sister Sandra J. Higgins, Bellingham, MA, Christa J. Ryan, of Bennington, VT and her aunt Marion Lockwood, Kingston and Joan Ryan of Tillson and many nieces and nephews.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. The family will receive their friends on Thursday, July 7th, from 4 - 7 pm. The service will be Friday, July 8th at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at 11:00 am. The Rev. James Rowe, presiding.
