Lake Katrine - Matthew "Matty J" Jackson of Parish Lane died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. He was 25. He was born in Rochester, NY the son of Charlotte Jackson and Michael Bennett. An Eagle Scout with Troop 8, Matt earned a black belt in karate and enjoyed mountain biking, hunting and fishing prior to his disability. He was attending SUNY Ulster. In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by a half sister, Kristen Bruton a half-brother, Michael Bennett and a step-sister Cassandra Connell; his maternal grandmother, Rose Lewis and step-grandmother, Marcia Jackson. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. His grandfather, Clarence "Clancy" Jackson died previously. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Sunday from 1 - 4 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, 139 South Lake Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
