Matt Lenny Workman

Matt Lenny Workman of Ulster - Greene ARC's Palmer Center on Flatbush Avenue, Town of Ulster died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Benedictine Hospital. He was 44. He was bron October 21, 1959 in New York City, a son of the late Sam and Gloria Buitekant Workman. He was a resident of Wassaic from 1969-1980 when he moved to Highland Community Residence in Highland. He also resided at the Pidone Residence in Kingston. For the past nine years, he resided at the Palmer Center in the Town of Ulster. Mr. Workman was employed as an assembler/packer at Pilot Industries in Kingston. He enjoyed playing cards, watching movies and wrestling events. He was well regarded for his sense of humor. He enjoyed the Price is Right and Golden Girls on TV and many community social events. In addition to his many friends at Ulster-Greene ARC, he is survived by an uncle and aunt Michael and Sheila Buitekant of Ossining; cousins, Scott Buitekant and Lisa Buitekant Izbicki both of Yorktown Heights and a sister-in-law, Cathy Workman of Brooklyn. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 12:00 PM at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. Cantor Robert Cohen will officiate the service. Inurnment will be in Montefiore Cemetery, Queens, NY at a later date.
