Mary Spadafora DeCicco of Lipton St., Kingston died Sunday evening, September 23, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital.
She was born Kingston a daughter of the late Frank and Rose Perry Spadafora. For many years Mrs. DeCicco lived on Abruyn St. She moved to Lipton St., Kingston in 1974.
A waitress at the former Colonade Restaurant in the Governor Clinton Hotel, Mrs. DeCicco later waitressed at the Dietz Stadium Diner. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church.
Her husband Michael J. 'Mickey' DeCicco died February 13, 1988. One daughter Joan Beckwith died November 24, 2005. Two brothers Joseph and Patrick Spadafora and two sisters Louise Provenzano and Carmel Spadafora all died previously.
She leaves her three daughters, Michele J. Artist and her husband Thomas of Kingston, Catherine “Cay” M. Martin and her husband James of Ellington, CT, and Mary R. Beckwith, also of Kingston; her sister Evelyn Fabiano of Lake Katrine; her great grandchildren, Cassandra Artist of Kingston, and PFC Reid Martin, USMC of Ellington, CT, many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Wednesday from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. The funeral procession will form on Thursday at 9:15 am from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
