Mary J. Otto, of Sawkill Road died Monday, August 1, 2005 at Benedictine Hosptial. She was 88.
She was born January 21, 1917 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Philip and Theresa Borelli Naccarato.
For many years, she was employed as an operator and clerk for New York Telephone. She also worked for the Board of Elections and in the Town of Ulster Tax Collectors Office. She was the winner of the Miss Senior Sweetheart Pagent for 1984-85 and was a former member of Sweet Adelines. Mrs. Otto was a parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church and former member of the choir.
Her husband, Raymond Otto died previously.
Surviving is her sister, Lillian Cicoria of Sawkill and a niece, Jane Touhey who was her caregiver.
Three brothers, Joseph and John Naccarato, Mack Forte and four sisters, Josephine and Emma Mautone, Louise Altomari and Frances Hamilton all died previously.
Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Tue. From 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:45 am. At 11:30 am, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church in Lake Katrine by Rev. John Kearney. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
