Mary I. Blackwell

Mary I. Blackwell passed peacefully Monday morning, June 16th, 2014 at the Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home, Lake Katrine. She was born in Sawkill and was a lifetime resident. She was born at home November 13, 1913, and would have celebrated her 101st birthday this year. She was the daughter of the late Harry Hulsair and Mary Myers. She enjoyed all sports especially watching baseball and her favorite team the NY Mets. Mary was a member of the First Congregational Church in Saugerties.
Surviving includes a son Eric and his wife Patricia of Kingston, Leta Cable and her husband Stan of Lake Katrine, Lois Bigando and her husband Larry also of Kingston. In addition she had 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Her husband, O'Leary (Larry) whom she married October 26, 1935 died July 12, 1970. Two brothers Jesse Hulsair and Herbert Hulsair also previously deceased. There are no calling hours. A Graveside service will be held at Mount Marion Cemetery, Mount Marion, on Thursday at 11am.
